Tino di Camaino was the chief architect of the Duomo of Florence around 1320, and royal sculptor to the King of Naples in the 1330s, where he worked with Giotto and Simone Martini. This beautiful marble statuette dates from his Neapolitan period. His work is exceedingly rare outside of Italy. This piece comes from the legendary Carlo di Carlo collection.
